Lung Radon LLC Radon Inspection Terms & Conditions
Closed Home Conditions (Inspection)
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the property meets Closed Home Conditions 12 hours before the scheduled start of the test and throughout the entire 48-hour testing period (60 hours total).
Closed Home Conditions means ensuring that all property openings that could allow fresh air into the home are closed. Specifically:
Windows and Doors: Must remain closed for 12 hours prior to testing and during the 48-hour testing period. Normal entry and exit through doors are acceptable.
Garage Doors: Should remain closed.
Air Supply Units: If utilizing units like swamp coolers, whole house fans, HRV/ERVs, etc., they should be set to a mode that does not allow fresh air into the property, either turned off or set to recirculation.
Closed Home Conditions are crucial for accurate short-term radon tests and help Lung Radon determine the most precise radon levels during the testing period.
Notification Responsibility: If the property is not owner-occupied, the owner or customer requesting the service must inform the current occupants of these conditions.
Visual Inspection: The Lung Radon team will conduct a visual inspection upon arrival to confirm that Closed Home Conditions are met before starting the test.
Failure to Meet Conditions: If Closed Home Conditions are not met, Lung Radon will need to:
Option A: Close the identified openings and delay the start of the test by 12 hours.
Option B: Reschedule the test altogether.
Not meeting Closed Home Conditions could result in a $50.00 fee.
Cancellations (Inspection)
Rescheduling by Lung Radon: If an event such as a scheduling conflict or inclement weather prevents Lung Radon from completing the inspection on the scheduled date, Lung Radon will contact the customer to schedule an alternate completion date.
Customer Rescheduling/Cancellation: The customer has the right to reschedule or cancel the project for any reason up to 24 hours before the scheduled inspection.
Late Cancellations: Any cancellation within 24 hours of the scheduled inspection could result in a $50.00 fee.
Limitation of Liability (Inspection)
Lung Radon LLC, including its members, officers, employees, and any other associated parties (collectively, the “Lung Radon Team”), will not be held responsible for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages or losses related to the inspection.
This includes any damage made at the job site during the setup or breakdown of the radon detector, even if such damages or losses were reasonably foreseeable.
